Zenith 750 Cruzer It seems like it's been a while since I've got anything accomplished on the Cruzer. There are a bunch of odds-n-ends that I need to get done and I've been avoiding them because they all require some thought as to how I'm going to do it.

One item is mounting the headset jacks. I've been delaying because I knew I wanted them behind me so that I don't have headset cords in my lap, but I wasn't sure where I wanted to put them. So today I chose a place, and mounted them.

Zenith 750 Cruzer I'll label them after lunch...

Zenith 750 Cruzer In my attempt to eliminate as much airframe drag as possible, I've designed and fabricated these gap seals. One closes the gap on the top of the elevator, and the other closes the gap under it.
Zenith 750 Cruzer The only time the bottom is totally closed is when there's full down elevator which wouldn't happen in flight. In cruise, there's still a slight gap.
Zenith 750 Cruzer In cruise flight, you can see how the upper gap is now closed.
Zenith 750 Cruzer (almost) full up elevator.
Zenith 750 Cruzer Full down elevator. The gap is always closed.
Zenith 750 Cruzer Here's the other side too.
