Zenith 750 Cruzer Here's an overall view of the front nose gear.

Zenith 750 Cruzer I get no kickbacks from Jan, but I highly recommend this Eggenfellner spring mod for the nose. It completely eliminates the bungee cord and is solidly designed and built. Expensive, but worth every penny.

Zenith 750 Cruzer As you can see, I've had the entire nose gear powder coated. I was worried that since powder coating is slightly thicker than paint, that it might not fit in the lower bearing blocks.

Mine still fit perfectly even with the coating.

Notice the nuts on the steering rods are not tight yet for two reasons. One, the steering rods will still need adjusted later and two, you never want to use nylon nuts on the forward side of the firewall. Buy the all steel locking nuts!

Notice the all metal AN363 locking nuts I've used on the side of the blocks.

Zenith 750 Cruzer View from bottom. I forgot to grease the bearings before I put them in so eventually I will remove the two blocks, grease the inside (and the gear leg) and put it back together.
